Archeology and landscapes in the Flegrean Fields.
The Flegrean Fields are some of the most unknown jewels of archeology in the Naples area. During your visit you will enjoy the natural beauty of many different places: the Averno Lake, described by Virgil as the entrance to the underworld; the Greek-Roman city of Cuma, the big-bang of western culture in Southern Italy; the ancient cistern called Piscina Mirabilis built in the Age of Augustus. Moreover, you will have the possibility to visit the archeological area of Baia, where a huge complex of thermal baths was constructed. The visit will also include the beautiful arena of Pozzuoli which was built by the same emperor who wanted to build the Colosseum in Rome.
